Kate Tennent
LLB (Hons)
Employment Lawyer
Kate Tennent has a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Auckland. She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in November 2020.
Kate’s first role after finishing her degree was in an employment law team just before New Zealand first went into lockdown in 2020, which spurred many unanticipated and tricky employment law questions, and cemented Kate’s love for employment law.
Kate has a background as a Legal Administrator and completed her Legal Executive Diploma before deciding to get her bachelor’s degree. She enjoys working with clients to provide practical solutions and straightforward advice. Kate feels that people and their relationships are at the heart of all employment issues and it’s important to understand that when solving problems.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending time with family, heading to the beach, and all things performing arts.
